CRN Seminar: Returning to work after a cancer diagnosis
Location:Meeting Room 6.37, Level 6 North Lifehouse (C39Z), Missenden Rd Camperdown
Many people are diagnosed with cancer while they are still engaged in the workforce. Returning to work after diagnosis and treatment can be a challenge for many.
Increasingly we are recognising the need for rehabilitation and better support programs when people do return to work.
Join the CRN Breast Cancer Special Interest Group, Psycho-Oncology Cooperative Research Group, and Centre for Medical Psychology & Evidence-based Decision-making for an afternoon of discussion about what we know about return to work, how employers can help, and what are the unanswered questions in this area?
You will have an opportunity to interact with
Prof. Ziv Amir, Honorary Professor in Cancer Survivorship at the University of Salford (UK)
Ms Jill Mills, Practical Support Unit Manager, Cancer Information & Support Services Division, Cancer Council NSW
A/Prof Lynnette MacKenzie, Dept of Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, University of Sydney
Dr Jo Lewis, Dept of Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, University of Sydney
