Dr Britta Stordal: ROR1 as a biomarker of chemoresistancein ovarian cancer

Dr Stordal received her PhD from the University of Sydney in 2006 and then continued as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the University of Sydney and Royal North Shore Hospital. She relocated to Dublin, Ireland in 2008 spending two years as a Research Fellow at Dublin City University then at Trinity College Dublin from 2010-2014. In 2014 she was awarded the Irish Cancer Society Award for Best Researcher. In 2014 she moved to Middlesex University London where she is currently a Senior Lecturer.
Dr Stordals’s research interests include biomarkers of platinum drug resistance in ovarian cancer, development of platinum and taxane-resistant ovarian cancer cell lines and miRNA biomarker discovery, development of platinum and parp inhibitor-resistant ovarian cancer and analysis of BRCA1 gene methylation and evidence-based medicine for relapsed platinum pre-treated ovarian cancer.
