Title: Problem-driven methods development in cancer bioinformatics.
This talk will describe a few public data sets that have been analysed in new ways, and how the analytical framework has been generalised to other situations. Topics include tracking copy number alterations across samples, calling somatic mutations from RNA-Seq samples and mutational signatures deciphered using the TCGA data sets.
