Speaker: Dr Kitty Lo, Bioinformatics Postdoctoral researcher, Faculty of Science, University of Sydney.

Talk Title: Cryptics and Skiptics: the story of noisy splicing and neurodegeneration.
Dr Kitty Lo will describe recent results on two strains of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (motor neuron disease) mutant mice in which novel alternative splicing events were observed. She will also present some new work on the effect of aging on splicing noise using two large public datasets.
