Medicine and Health Education Showcase 2017

The Associate Deans, Learning & Teaching, (Medicine, Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Dentistry), warmly invite academics, clinicians and professional staff to join us at the Medicine and Health Education Showcase on 31 March 2017.
We invite staff to join us for this inter-disciplinary Showcase, to be held at the Charles Perkins Centre, University of Sydney. The Showcase program will contain oral presentations on current, innovative work in interprofessional learning, and provide opportunities to network with colleagues from across the health professions, and share insights. We hope you will join us.
Professor Jill Thistlethwaite, is a health professions education consultant, general practitioner, co-editor in chief of The Clinical Teacher, and associate editor, Journal of Interprofessional Care. Internationally recognised for her expertise in interprofessional education, Professor Thistlethwaite will discuss "Adding 'inter' onto professional: how, why, what and when".
The theme for the 2017 Showcase is "Interprofessional learning: building capacity", and the intention is to:
•Showcase research and best practice in interprofessional learning across the health professional faculties
•Stimulate innovation in interprofessional learning
•Gather beginner and expert educators from across the health professional faculties to network
The Showcase is designed to attract academic, clinical and professional staff working in health professional education, including:
•Heads of Discipline
•Procedural Skills Co-ordinators
•Managers and Education Support staff
•Staff interested in health professional education
