COMBINE Student Symposium 2015
Location:Charles Perkins Centre, The University of Sydney
The COMBINE Student Symposium is an opportunity for students and early-career researchers in computational biology, bioinformatics, and the life sciences to share their research with others in these fields. Presentations will be judged and the best ones will receive prizes!
The COMBINE Symposium is not a formal peer-reviewed conference, it’s an opportunity to hone your presentation skills and obtain feedback on your research prior to major upcoming conferences. It is also an excellent opportunity to network with our growing community.
We welcome oral and poster submissions describing research in computational biology, bioinformatics, and the life sciences.
Topics of interest may include, but are not limited to:
o sequence analysis
o evolution and phylogeny
o comparative genomics
o protein structure
o molecular and supramolecular dynamics
o molecular evolution
o gene regulation and transcriptomics
o RNA biology
o systems biology
o statistical genetics
o mathematical biology
…and much more.
Oral presentations are limited to 15 minutes in duration, with an additional 5 minutes for questions from the audience. We encourage submission of posters that have also been submitted to another conference such as ABACBS or AGTA.
Summaries of already published work, work in progress, or soon to be submitted work are allowed and encouraged!
o Poster abstract submission closes: Friday 25th September 2015
o Registration closes: Friday 2nd October 2015
